Applications for Ecology Across Borders Helpers are now open
As we did in previous meetings, we offer positions for helpers at our Annual Meeting. These volunteers help out the core events team with tasks such as setting up at the venue, the speaker upload room, point of contact in each session room, and on various events taking place throughout the meeting. They are a great asset to our meetings and it also allows those that may not be able to attend to have their registration fee wavered.
Helpers are expected to assist the conference staff 50% of time at the meeting (this does not include the conference dinner). They are asked to pay 100% of the concession registration fee as a deposit, of which 50% will be refunded before the meeting if they are successful in being selected as a volunteer. The remaining 50% is refunded after the meeting, subject to the Code of Conduct.
These positions are primarily for students and retired members, but they can be open to anyone that wishes to attend the meeting,
